Afaf Hussein was arrested with her family in the house in Helwan on 08/28/2017 due to the escape of her son, Mahmoud Abu Haseebah, from the deportation car. He was detained in the notorious Scorpian Prison amidst the Helwan Brigades case. She was taken to the Department of Helwan and subjected to enforced disappearance for months before her release. Violations she was subjected to: enforced disappearance for months – she was beaten during her arrest and at the police station.
