Esraa Ahmed was arbitrarily arrested on September 27, 2019 from El-Qaid Ibrahim in Alexandria, amidst the events of September 20, and she was forcibly disappeared until she appeared before the prosecution on September 29, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019. She was charged with participation in a terrorist group to help achieve its goals, broadcasting and spreading false news, misuse of social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit.
