Ayat Abd El-Hakim was arbitrarily arrested on September 27, 2019 from Ramses, amidst the events of September 20, and she was forcibly disappeared until she appeared before the prosecution on September 30, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, Supreme State Security . She was charged with participation in a terrorist group to help achieve its objectives, broadcasting and spreading false news, misuse of social media, and participation in a demonstration without a permit. She was sentenced to imprisonment under investigations. She was released on parole on 24 October 2019. Violations to which she was subjected: enforced disappearance for days.
