Shaimaa Ahmed was arbitrarily arrested on September 27, 2019 from an ambush in Qalyubia governorate amidst the events of September 20, and she was forcibly disappeared until she appeared before the prosecution on September 29, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, Supreme State Security . She was charged with participation in a terrorist group to achieve its objectives, broadcasting and disseminating false news, misuse of social media, and participation in a demonstration without a permit. She was imprisoned under investigations. She was released on parole on October 13, 2019. Violations to which she was subjected to: enforced disappearance for two days
