Mennat Allah Medhat was arrested on January 12, 2014 after dozens from the “Students Against The Coup” movement cut off Al-Khalifa Al-Maamoun Street in front of the main gate of Ain Shams University. The forces raided the university, resulting in her arrest and the arrest of 11 others. They were taken to Hadaiq Al Qaba department and presented to the prosecution under case No. 323 of 2014, Al Wiley Felonies, registered under no. 3326 for 2014, Total West Cairo. She was released on January 13, 2014.
