The security forces arrested Samira Sayed and 18 other workers of the Ismailia Investment Zone on September 16, 2019 after breaking up their gathering to demand the approval of the cost of living, regularity, and meal allowances because the factory did not apply the allowances prescribed to them, in addition to not approving any increase in their salaries. They were detained at the Abu Suir police station in Ismailia until 13 workers were released without charge and presented to the prosecution under case No. 4012 for 2019 administrative Abu Suwar, which ordered their imprisonment until they were released on bail of 1,000 pounds on September 23, 2019.
