Nardin Ali was arrested on charges of spreading false news. She was forcibly disappeared for a period, during which time which she was subjected to torture and beatings to make her confess to unrelated charges. She appeared at the State Security Prosecution on November 2, 2019 under case 488 of 2019. The prosecution ordered her detention pending investigations, until she was released on parole with precautionary measures on December 21, 2019. However, the decision was not implemented, as she was detained by the National Security in Alexandria. In their headquarters, she was severely beaten, tortured and threatened. The lawyers were surprised when she was charged under a new case, No. 1530 for 2019, Supreme State Security , for the same accusations, namely the participation in a terrorist group and the dissemination of false news. She is still imprisoned. – Violations: – subjected to enforced disappearance and torture for a period – intransigence in the implementation of the decision of her release and rotation – her health and psychological condition is in great deterioration where she suffers from severe depression, personality disorder, convulsions, and fainting. She cries and screams hysterically.
