Aya Mohamed ‘s home in Alexandria was raided and she was arrested on March 24, 2019. Two days later, she appeared before the prosecution. She was accused of spreading false news about the incident of the girl at al-Azhar University, Asyut branch, in addition to the participation in a group established in violation to the law in the execution of its purposes. The prosecution ordered her to be detained pending case No. 533 for 2019, Supreme State Security . She was transferred to the Al-Qanater prison. her detention was continually renewed until she got released with precautionary measures on February 6, 2020, and the measures were cancelled on March 14, 2020. – Violations: – enforced disappearance for two days – subjected to medical negligence and the prison administration refused to admit her to the hospital, which forced her to go on hunger strike.
