On the evening of August 4, 2017, the National Security Forces of the Alexandria Security Directorate broke into Roqaia Mostafa’s home and arrested her, in addition to arresting her husband, Osama Saad Al-Taweel, her 70-year-old mother-in-law, her sons, Mohammed, Omar, and Nada (7 years old), Abdulrahman, and her son’s wife, Amani, who had not even been married 10 days. She was subjected to enforced disappearance for nearly nine days until she appeared before the prosecution on August 14, 2017. She was accused of inciting demonstrations under case No. 5820 for 2017, Second Al Ramal Administration. She was remanded in custody pending investigation.
