The security forces arrested Noha Mahmoud from her home on 17 January 2016. Then she was taken to a location unknown by of her relatives or lawyers. The place of her detention was not identified nor was she presented to any investigative body. She remained under enforced disappearance until news was received by her relatives that she appeared on January 26, 2016 and that she would be presented to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. This was filed in record number 609 for 2016, Al Matarya Administration. The student’s lawyers were surprised that she was not presented before the prosecution, as security forces of the Ministry of Interior took her from the prosecutor’s office to one of the headquarters of the National Security Service, without any explanation by the security forces about the exact place of detention of the student or the date or place of her presentation to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The National Security Agency denies holding her. She was released and discharged on January 29, 2016. – Violations she was subjected to: – Enforced disappearance for approximately 13 days.
