Sara Mohamed was arrested by the Al Buhayra Detectives in her home on October 15, 2014 on charges of threatening to kill Captain Mustafa Abu al-Rish, assistant to Bandar Damanhour, via a facebook page she manages. She was imprisoned pending case No. 7153 for 2014, Damanhour Section. She was released on 11/26/14. She was sentenced in abstentia to six months in prison. She appealed the sentence and was arrested again from the appeal hearing. The sentence was upheld on February 16, 2015, and she was transferred to Al-Badiya prison in Damanhour. She was discharged after serving the period of her sentence.
