Hana Mohamed was arrested on September 9, 2019 and forcibly disappeared for months, during which she was subjected to torture, until she appeared before the prosecution on April 1, 2020. She was charged under case No. 810 of 2019, Supreme State Security, with joining and financing a terrorist group. She was imprisoned pending investigations and transferred to El Qanater prison.
