Shaimaa Shawki was arrested after the dispersal of a march in Baba, Beni Suef province, on January 21, 2015. She was presented before the prosecution, accused of joining a group that was founded in violation of the provisions of the law, demonstrating without a permit, assembly, obstruction of a road, possessing explosives and incendiary materials, and attempting to set fire to the railways.
