Sara Mishaal was arrested on October 7, 2015 after she refused to reveal her face to the administrative security officers at the gate of Zagazig University, who tried to search her and force her to reveal her face. When the student asked to be searched by an administrative security worker, administrative security officers detained her, put her in an armored vehicle, and took her to a second section of the Zagazig. She was presented before the prosecution and charged with joining a group founded contrary to the provisions of the law, rioting, show of force, and signaling violence. She was remanded in custody pending investigation. She was granted bail of 5,000 pounds on October 21, 2015.
