Mohamed Fawzy was arrested as a minor on August 16, 2013 during the demonstrations of the “Coalition to Support Legitimacy,” condemning the Rabaa Al-Adawiya massacre in Kafr El-Sheikh city at the governorate office. He was charged with murder, attempted murder, assembly, joining a group that disrupted the law, harming national unity and social peace, obstructing of the road, possession of firearms, and destruction of public property. He was detained pending investigations, released on March 1, 2014 then sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence on May 18, 2014.
