Mostafa Mahmoud was arbitrarily arrested in Alexandria as a minor in December 2013 and presented before the prosecution, which ordered his detention pending case No. 495 for 2014, Minors Crimes. He obtained release, but the court ruled on November 26, 2014 not to accept the case, and referred it the prosecution to take matters into its own hands.
