Obada Ahmed was arrested as a minor on July 17, 2015, the first day of Eid al-Fitr, at 10 a.m. in front of al-Manar school while playing football in Nasr City. He was presented to the prosecution the following day under case no. 31807 for the year 2015, misdemeanour city Nasr. He was accused of using an apartment belonging to his deceased father for the purpose of a weapons manufacturing workshop. He was filmed while blindfolded and handcuffed with weapons. He was detained pending investigations. On September 17, 2015, he was released from the Criminal Court on bail of 15,000 pounds. The prosecution appealed and he was presented again on September 20, 2015. The appeal was rejected and the decision to release him was upheld. However, the Nasr City Department did not implement the prosecutor’s decision, and he was placed at the state security headquarters for 51 days until he appeared before the State Security Prosecution under the case 699 for 2015, Supreme State Security . His detention was renewed for 15 days. On December 6, 2015, he obtained release on a residence guarantee by the State Security Prosecutor’s Office. When his family asked about him, the department denied his presence inside the department. He was forcibly disappeared, and then appeared on December 12, 2015 in the district of Matariya. He was charged under a new case no. 11078 for 2015, the Matarya administration, with joining a banned organization and demonstrating without a permit. Then he was released and discharged on December 18, 2015. He was arrested on March 9, 2018, from the street in Zahara in Nasr City, and he is still forcibly disappeared. On March 17, 2016, he was sentenced to a 10,000 pound fine in absentia, and on 30 January 2018 he was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison and five years parole. It is mentioned that he was previously arrested in 2014. Violations he was subjected to: -enforced disappearance for periods – torture, severe beatings and electrocution – intransigence in carrying out the release and rotation several times.
