Ahmed Abd El-Fattah was arrested with others during security raids at Egypt Sport Stadium in Second Montazah, east of Alexandria while playing a football game on February 10, 2014. He was charged with joining the “Ultras of the Freedom Eagles,” supporting former President Mohamed Morsi, and participating in the demonstrations under record No. 3913 for 2014, Montazah second administrative.
