Mohamed Hamam was arrested as a minor from Alexandria on September 20, 2019 amidst the events of September 20, 2019. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared before the prosecution on September 29, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, Supreme State Security . He was charged with helping a terrorist group achieve its aims, broadcasting and spreading false news, misuse of social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit. The Public Prosecution ordered his detention pending investigation and his detention is still being renewed. Violations include enforced disappearance for days and deprivation of visitation.
