Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim Hamza

Ibrahim Ahmed was arrested as a minor on January 28, 2015 during the anniversary of the Friday of Anger, from Al Bahar street in Mansoura while the security forces arbitrarily arrested pedestrians. He was transferred to the first section of Mansoura, and was charged with disturbing the public peace, obstructing the road, terrorizing citizens, vandalizing the Sandoub railway and joining a terrorist group. He was imprisoned amidst case 108 for the year 2015 military crimes, known as the “Organization of Quality Operations in The Province of Hâliya”. On November 15, 2016, the Military Criminal Court sentenced him to three years in prison and he was discharged after serving his full sentence. – Violations: Enforced disappearance for four days – was subjected to deliberate medical negligence by the Department of The Police of The First Mansoura and the management of the Center of Dekrens in Daqahliya, as he contracted acute mumps while in the Center of Dekrens, where the conditions of detention are very poor and inhumane, as a result of overcrowding, poor ventilation and the spread of insects, which facilitated the spread of infection among detainees. His family made a request for him to be transferred to the hospital more than once or for him to be allowed medicines, but all requests were rejected. Ibrahim went to the first section of Mansoura and there he suffered from ill treatment and difficult conditions of detention as well, and when the prosecution agreed to transfer him to the hospital and present him to the doctor, the management of the first section of Mansoura was intransigent in the implementation of the decision. It is worth mentioning that Ibrahim has a chronic skin disease and needs regular medication and regular follow-up with the doctor. His family was not allowed to bring any medications for him, and he was denied regular follow-up at the doctor, which contributed to the deterioration of his health.
