Khaled Mohamed was arrested as a minor and forcibly disappeared for a period before appearing before the prosecution and charged under the case No. 357 for 2016 military felonies, known in the media as “Sinai province case”. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations. On August 2, 2017, the Military Prosecutor decided to exclude all minors from the case and re-transfer them to the Public Prosecutor under the case No. 502 for 2015 Supreme State Security . He was released on April 19, 2018 and the measures were cancelled on 1 December 2019.
