Abd El-Rahman Ahmed was arrested as a minor on September 25, 2017 from his home in Al Buhayra and charged in the case of the “Cell of Neighborhoods of Administrative Offices in Al Buhayra”, with calling to demonstrate without permission, joining the Terrorist Brotherhood, inciting violence, possessing publications, promoting extremist ideas that would incite the overthrow of the existing regime in the country, and disturbing public security. He was detained pending investigations. He was released on a financial guarantee of 5,000 pounds on October 1, 2017.
