Mohamed Ahmed was arrested as a minor and forcibly disappeared for a period before appearing at the State Security Prosecution on May 30, 2016 and charged under case No. 357 of 2016 military crimes known in the media as the “Sinai State” case. The prosecution ordered him to be detained pending investigation. On August 2, 2017, the Military Prosecutor decided to exclude all minors from the case and re-transfer them to the Public Prosecutor’s Office under case 502 for 2015. He was released on 19 April 2018, and the measures were cancelled on 1 December 2019. – Violations: – enforced disappearance for a period – detention with adults.
