Sabry Ibrahim was arrested on July 4, 2014 after a thug attempted to rob him in the Upper Bridge area of Damanhour. When he tried to resist the theft, the thugs stabbed him with bladed weapons, declared to the public that he was a terrorist and handed him over to the coup security. He joined the case known as “Suhoor Detainees” and was charged with joining a banned group founded contrary to the provisions of the Constitution and the law, promoting its activities, demonstrating without a permit, possessing weapons to attack citizens, destroying a tourism company in Damanhour, and using force and violence by attacking the owner of the tourism company. He was detained pending investigations. He was sentenced to three years in prison on 13 April 2015 and discharged on July 9, 2017 after serving his sentence. – Violations: – he was subjected to medical negligence, as he suffered from cramps, narrowed arteries, difficulty breathing, and curvature and atrophy of the feet, as a result of the inhumane conditions experienced by the detainees inside the prison. His health was ignored and he had to be taken to the hospital and then sent back to custody again. There was intransigence in the entry of the necessary medicines for him.
