Security forces in Alexandria arrested Youssef Ahmed, a minor, from a microbus with others on their way to a demonstration on August 30, 2014. He was arrested again in Alexandria on January 24, 2016 and forcibly disappeared for 24 days before being presented before the prosecution, which ordered his detention pending investigation.
