Osama Mahmoud was arrested on September 30, 2019 as a minor from Suez amidst the events of September 20. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared before the prosecution during October 2019 under case No. 1413 of 2019, the Supreme State Security . He was charged with participating in a terrorist group in achieving its purposes, broadcasting and spreading false news, abusing social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit. The prosecution ordered him to be detained pending investigation. He was released on March 21, 2020. Violations he was subjected to: forced disappearance for days – prevented from visits.
