Al-Baraa Ahmed was arrested in April 2015 in al Fauyum and forcibly disappeared for days until he appeared under case No. 3055 of 2015 on charges of possession and use of explosives, and joining a terrorist group. He was detained pending investigation. He was granted bail on February 15, 2016, but was then forcibly disappeared before appearing as a defendant in a new demonstration case, no. 1448 for 2016, Edars Snors. He was remanded in custody pending investigation. He was acquitted on March 4, 2018 under case No. 12358 for 2016, Al Fayum Crimes. Violations he was subjected to: enforced disappearance for days – subjected to torture and beatings during his disappearance – intransigence in his release and rotation under a new case.
