Omar Ayoub was arrested as a minor from Al Arbin Square in Suez while he was returning from his lesson on September 20, 2019 amidst the events of September 20, 2019. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared before the prosecution on September 24, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, the Supreme State Security . He was charged with participating in a terrorist group to achieve its goals, broadcasting and spreading false news, misuse of social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit. The prosecution ordered him to be detained pending investigation. He was released on October 30, 2019. Violations he was subjected to: enforced disappearance for days – prevented from visits.
