Belal Sayed was arrested in April 2015 in Fium and forcibly disappeared for days then appeared under case No. 3055 of 2015 on charges of possession and use of explosives and joining a terrorist group. He was detained pending investigation. He was released on bail on February 15, 2016. He was forcibly disappeared until appearing as a defendant in a new case, he was remanded under investigation then acquitted on March 4, 2018 under case No. 12358 for 2016, Al Fayum felonies.
