Mohamed Ahmed was arrested as a minor from El-Sayeda Zainab in Cairo amidst September 20 events on September 20, 2019. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared before the prosecution on September 22, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, Supreme State Security . He was charged with participating in a terrorist group in achieving its purposes, broadcasting and spreading false news, abusing social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigation. He was released on October 2, 2019.
