The security services of the Juhayna Police Station Investigation Unit in Sohag arrested Mahmoud Saad as a minor on September 18, 2013 after the dispersal of a demonstration. He was presented before the prosecution under case No. 2168 for 2013, Juhayna administrative, and charged with demonstrating without a permit, obstructing the traffic and shouting slogans against the army and police. The prosecution decided to hand him over to his family on September 20, 2013.
