Al-Baraa Hasan was arrested in a street in Dakahleya in July 2013 after he was assaulted and beaten by a group of armed thugs. Later, he was handed over to the security forces who assaulted him using the prisoner transport vehicle. He was imprisoned on remand, then he was released on 2-thousand L.E. bail after a week. On 13th January 2014, he was rearrested and imprisoned on remand for demonstration without permit and possession of Rabaa medal. In June 2014, he was sentenced to 3-year prison then filed an appeal to reduce his sentence to 2 years. In January 2016, he was released after serving his sentence but remained chased until he traveled to Syria to fight and then he was killed on October 4, 2016. He was subject to:
– Armed Assault by a group of thugs and by prisoner transport vehicles.
– Torture and electrocution in Dikirnis prison, which damaged his ears and hearing ability.
– Torture in the penal institution in Al-Marj.
– Medical negligence and hunger strike in November 2014.
