Hossam Mamdouh was arrested after the events of Islamic complex demonstrations in Damietta on August 5th, 2013. He was charged under case No. 1388 of 2014 (record No. 2387 of 2013 police station, administrative, Damietta El-Jadida). He was accused of assembly, destruction of public and private properties, use of force, and possession of deadly weapons “guns, cartridges and rifles”, sticks, and bottles. The next day, he was released for being a minor. He was sentenced to three-year prison on August 24th, 2016.
