Zeyad Wagdy was arrested amidst 6 October 2013 events after demonstration dispersal in Asyout. He was detained on remand, then he was released on 500-pound bail on October 27th, 2013. On November 30th, 2014, he was sentenced in absentia to five-year prison, five-year probation and five-thousand L.E. fine.
