Ali Fawzy was arrested for the first time in January 2015. He was detained for assembly, show of force, and demonstration without permit. He was sentenced to two-year prison. The judgement was set aside and he was acquitted on June 1st, 2015. He was rearrested when the police raided his house at Al Sharkia on July 19th, 2016. He was forcibly disappeared for two days in which he was subject to torture, stripping and electrocution. He was presented before the prosecution and detained on remand under case No. 114 of 2014, Military felonies, partial Al Zagazig, registered under No. 380 of 2016 Military felonies, total, Al Ismailia. He was militarily sentenced to three-year prison. After serving his sentence, he was subject to intransigence in his release and forcibly disappeared in December 2019. He was rotated (charged with new crimes) under a new case in which he was sentenced to one year and one month prison with a 100-pound fine on August 29th, 2020. He was subject to:
– Enforced disappearance for two days.
– Torture and electrocution.
– Intransigence in his release, enforced disappearance and rotation under a new case.
