Fatima Abd El-Rasul was arrested on August 13, 2021 and presented before the prosecution on August 29, 2021. She was detained at Al-Khossous Police station and transferred to El Qanater Prison, which returned her to the police station because she was ill. At the police station, medical tests were conducted for her, which revealed that she had blood cancer, and instead of admitting her to the hospital for treatment, she was transferred to prison again. She was released on October 20th, 2022.
