Amel Mohamed was arrested from home because of her husband, Islam Salih Salameh. The security forces searched the house and found explosive materials for him. She was taken to the Ismailia Security Directorate and then to the National Security, where she remained for 20 days, being investigated about her husband. Then she was taken to the Abu Suwayr Police Department in Ismailia where she remained for 3 months until she was presented before the prosecution on November 23rd, 2021. She was imprisoned in Case No. 1935 of 2021 .
