Ahmed Abd El-Fattah was arrested as a minor in 2019 and charged under case 488 of 2019, Supreme State Security , known as the “Safafir case.” He was charged with participating in a terrorist group to achieve its goals and broadcasting and spreading false news. He was detained pending investigation. He was released on parole on August 26, 2019, and the measures were cancelled on February 17, 2020.
