Ahmed Abd El-Gelil was arrested as a minor during the October 6 events in Qasr El Nil on October 6, 2013. He was investigated under Case No. 9993 for 2013, Qasr El Nil misdemeanour. He was charged with assaulting security forces, destruction of public and private property, assembly, riots, destroying two boats and dumping them in the Nile, possession of a bladed weapons during the celebrations of the fortieth anniversary of the October 6 war, and clashing with citizens, central security forces and the army. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations. He was acquitted on December 7, 2013.
