In December, Ahmed Ali was arrested on his way to work in a workshop near Cairo’s Al-Azhar mosque where there were mass demonstrations against Trump’s Jerusalem declaration. He was detained under case No. 977 of 2017 State Security for joining “Al-Ghalaba” group and committing violent acts against state’s institutions. On November 6th, 2018, he was released with precautionary measures, then he was released definitively on December 10th, 2019.
He was subject to: -Medical neglect since he often visits the neurologist’s clinic. His case worsened in his detention because he did not receive the necessary treatment.
