Ahmed Hamdy was arrested as a minor from Al-Fajala while purchasing medical supplies on September 21, 2019 amidst the events of September 20, 2019. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared before the prosecution on September 25, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, the Supreme State Security . He was charged with participating in a terrorist group to achieve its goals, broadcasting and spreading false news, abusing social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit. The prosecution ordered him to be detained pending investigation. He was released on October 15, 2019. Violations he was subjected to: enforced disappearance for days – prevented from visits.
