Ahmed Zidan was arrested amidst demonstrations in Al-Buhaira on November 19th, 2015. He was detained on remand for demonstration without permit until he was released on March 6th, 2016. He was rearrested in his house in Kafr El-Dawar on November 14th, 2016, charged with two cases and detained on remand. On December 30th, 2016, He was acquitted under case No. 5890 of 2016 Kafe El-Dawar Misdemeanor. He was subject to:

– Medical neglect in 2016 as he was injured in the seventh nerve before detention. His case worsened after detention and violations. In Kafr El Dawar El-Shamla Hospital, he was asked to undertake a CAT and EGG scans without a response from the administration alleging the unavailability of necessary equipment, in addition to the refusal of medicines and personal requirements entry.
