On Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, Aida Mohamed was summoned to the National Security where she was interrogated and then released. On October 8th, 2022, she was arrested from home by National Security because of tweets she posted calling for a demonstration on November 11th and tweets criticizing the government and the high prices. She was transferred to the tenth of Ramadan Police Station and remained there until she was transferred to the National Security in Zaqaziq. She was presented before the prosecution on October 17th, 2022, and was imprisoned in Case No. 1691 of 2022, Supreme State Security.
Violations she was subjected to:
– Enforced disappearance for 9 days
– Insults
– Strip-search that offends the dignity
– Forcing her to stand for a long time during the National Security investigation though she suffers from torn ligaments in foot, high blood pressure and diabetes
