Alaa El-Din Mohamed was arrested as a minor on November 15, 2013 from the Dakhla area of Alexandria during the assault of a pro-army bus driver. He was presented to the prosecution, which ordered his detention pending investigation under case No. 37092 for 2013, Dakhla Felonies. He was acquitted on September 13, 2014. During his detention, he was attached to the “Deportation” case, no. 22580 for 2014, Al Attarin Felonies. He was released on bail of 5,000 pounds on October 12, 2014. He was then sentenced to two years’ imprisonment in absentia on 17 March 2016 and commuted in a retrial of six months on September 12, 2019. He was arrested again, and no longer a minor, in February 2015 and was forcibly disappeared for two weeks before appearing in a military case. He was detained pending investigations under case No. 127 of 2016, Alexandria military crimes, in which he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and 5 years of probation on November 23, 2016. – Violations: – he was beaten and violated during the Kom al-Daka in June 2014 – a case was made for him from the inside and he was sentenced – his mother died while he was imprisoned in September 2014 and he was prohibited from attending the funeral – enforced disappearance for two weeks in 2015 – his father died in October 2018 while he was imprisoned and did not attend the funeral – he was transferred to the New Valley prison.
