Amal Abdul Wahab was arrested and forcibly disappeared for a period before appearing before the prosecution on November 6, 2019. She was accused in case No. 488 of 2019, Supreme State Security. The prosecution ordered to detain her pending investigations and transferred her to Al-Qanater prison. Her detention was renewed and then she was rotated in case No. 855 of 2019 Supreme State Security. She was released in March 2022.
