Asmaa Abd El-Basset Mohamed Ahmed

Asmaa Abdel Basit Mohamed Ahmad, Yasmin Ahmad Mohamed Sobhi, Aya Hassan Abdel Salam Abu Saud, Fatma Hamdi Mohamed Rifai, and Habiba Ahmed Mohamed Sobhy traveled from Egypt to Sudan via the Nile River and remained in Khartoum. They were accompanied by 3 other people who traveled to Turkey at a later time. Asma was married to a person named Mahmoud Sha’aban and Aya was married to a person named Ezzat El Ahmar who were both affiliated with the Islamic State of Sinai. Ezzat El Ahmar was affiliated with the State of Sinai, but he works in Sudanese intelligence. When his wife found out about it, she informed those who were with her in Sudan and they tried to arrest him at home, but Ezzat killed them all in his house and ran away. Fatma Hamdi and the girls were all in a park at that time called El Riyadh in Khartoum, and while they were returning home, they were arrested in an ambush on September 27th, 2021. They remained in the Sudanese intelligence and were interrogated about Ezzat El Ahmar and how they fled Egypt until they demanded to return back to Egypt. They were deported to Egypt on January 2nd, 2022 by EgyptAir and remained in the National Security without being interrogated. Asma was presented before the prosecution on February 2nd, 2022. She was imprisoned in case No. 1527 of 2018.
