In the afternoon of November 10, 2014, Asmaa Mahmoud was standing in front of the School of Human Studies for Girls of Al-Azhar University in Nasr City, when she was caught by surprise and surrounded and pushed into a car that took her to an unknown place. She remained forcibly disappeared for a period. It is reported that she had been prevented from joining the university city – Violations: enforced disappearance for several days.
