Aziza Salim was arrested in the Ismailia governorate amidst the events of September 20, 2019 and forcibly disappeared until she appeared before the prosecution on October 1, 2019 under case No. 1338 of 2019, Supreme State Security . She was charged with the participation in a terrorist group to achieve its objectives, broadcasting and publishing false news, misuse of communication means social network, and participation in a demonstration without a permit.
