Badr El-Din Essam

Badr El-Din Essam was arrested in his home in Suez and taken to the headquarters of the Security Directorate in Suez, then to the Salam camp. He remained forcibly disappeared until he was brought before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on February 23, 2020 under case 1530 for 2019, Supreme State Security . He was charged with crimes of participating in a terrorist group in achieving its objectives, receiving terrorist financing, participating in a criminal agreement for the purpose of committing a terrorist crime, assembly, and using private accounts on the internet with the aim of committing a punishable crime in order to disturb the public order. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations.
Violations he was subjected to:
– Enforced disappearance for a period.
– – Moral threat.
– – beatings, kicking and electric shocks, in order to force him to confess his participation in the protests of September 20, 2019.
