Basma Mostafa was arrested in a bus station in Luxor while she was doing her journalistic work to cover Al-Awamiyah events on October 3rd, 2020. She was forcibly disappeared for one day, then she appeared before the prosecution. She was investigated under case No. 959 of 2020. She was accused of joining a terrorist group, publishing false news, demonstration without permit, and abuse of social media.
